You are invited to a lecture by Juan Ruiz Jimenez (Granada), who will speak in 523 Butler Library (Columbia University) on Wednesday, February 26 at 4:30 on Seville Cathedral in its urban context: Creation and continuity of its Renaissance repertory. The presentation will focus on the evolution of the city of Seville in the late Middle Ages and the Renaissance, private musical patronage in the city, the cathedral and its main musical structures, and the  longevity of Renaissance repertory at Seville Cathedral through its appearance in different manuscripts. A reception will follow. The lecture is free and open to the public (the security desk at Butler will know that non-Columbia ID holders are going to attend.)
